Umbrella Leaning or Tipping Over? Safety First!Updated 3 days ago

If your cantilever umbrella is leaning or tipping, this is a serious safety concern that needs immediate attention.

Common Causes and Solutions

  • Insufficient Base Weight (Most Common Cause):

This is critical. The base sections (A & B) must be completely filled:

    • Square models (UMB-241021, UMB-241023): At least 90.7 kg (200 lbs).
    • Round models (UMB-241024): At least 158.8 kg (350 lbs).
    • Use sand, add water to wet sand and fill to the very top. Secure fill caps (M).

  • Uneven Surface: The umbrella must be on a flat, level surface.
  • Loose Assembly Bolts: Re-check bolts connecting the holder pole (F) to cross legs (C & D), and the umbrella frame (N) to the holder pole (F).
  • Windy Conditions:

Cantilever umbrellas should always be closed in windy conditions. Warranty may not cover wind damage.

  • Incorrect Assembly: Double-check all parts were assembled correctly per your manual.

Immediate Action

If you've addressed all these points and the umbrella still leans or tips, please discontinue use and contact Customer Service immediately for guidance.
