Solar LED Lights Not Working? Troubleshooting GuideUpdated 3 days ago
If the Solar LED lights on your umbrella aren't working, don't worry! Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot:
Initial Checks & Charging
- First Use Charge: Crucially, the battery pack (G) must be charged for 8 hours in direct sunlight before the first use. Make sure the light switch on the battery pack is in the OFF position during this initial charge.
- Solar Panel Connection (N1): Ensure the plug from the solar panel is securely inserted into its socket on the umbrella (often under the solar panel itself, as shown in Step 4 & 5 of your manual). Make sure the solar panel is then properly seated and turned clockwise to secure it on top of the umbrella.
- Battery Pack Placement (G): Verify the battery pack (G) is correctly inserted into its housing, usually located on the arm of the glide handle.
- Daytime Charging: For everyday use, ensure the light switch on the battery pack is in the OFF position during the daytime to allow the solar panel to charge the battery effectively.
Light Operation
- Light Switch: After sufficient charging, try pressing the LED lights button on the battery pack. Your manual (page 9) describes the sequence:
- 1st press: Hub light on.
- 2nd & 3rd presses: Adjust hub light intensity.
- 4th press: Rib lights on, hub light off.
- 5th press: Both rib and hub lights on.
- 6th & 7th presses: Adjust combined light intensity.
- 8th press: All lights off.
Battery & Power Supply
- Battery Drained?:If the lights are dim or not working after solar charging, the battery might be very drained or at the end of its life.
- Try charging the battery pack (G) indoors using the provided Power Supply (G1) for 3-4 hours. The charge level can often be seen on the battery pack power meter.
- The power supply is for indoor use only.
- Battery Replacement: If the battery no longer holds a charge, it may need replacement. Refer to "Replacing the Battery (Model #26650 3.6V 5000 mAh)" steps in your manual (page 10).
