Is Your Cantilever Umbrella Base WobblyUpdated 3 days ago

A stable base is crucial for the safe enjoyment of your cantilever umbrella. If it feels wobbly or unstable, please check the following:

Key Checks for Stability

  • Cross Leg Assembly (Parts C & D): Ensure the lower cross leg (C) and upper cross leg (D) are correctly aligned at the notches and sitting flat on the ground.
  • Holder Pole Attachment (Part F): Verify that the holder pole (F) is securely attached to the cross legs using the four bolts (GG) and flat washers (HH). These should be tight, but not overtightened. Ensure correct positioning as per your manual.
  • Base Weight – This is Key!

Crucial Step: The base sections (A & B) must be completely filled as per your model's requirements:

    • For square models (like UMB-241021, UMB-241023): At least 90.7 kg (200 lbs) of sand. Add water to wet the sand and fill to the top.
    • For round models (like UMB-241024): At least 158.8 kg (350 lbs) of sand. Add water to wet the sand and fill to the top.
    • Ensure all fill hole caps (M) are securely tightened.

  • Level Surface: Confirm the umbrella is placed on a flat, level surface. An uneven surface can contribute to instability.

Still Unstable?

If you've checked all these points and the base still feels unstable, please contact our Customer Service team for further guidance.
