Replacing the Battery in Your Solar LED UmbrellaUpdated 3 days ago
If the rechargeable battery (Model #26650 3.6V 5000 mAh) inside your solar umbrella's battery pack (G) no longer holds a charge, you can replace it. Here’s how, referencing the steps typically found on page 10 of your solar umbrella manual:
You will need a new battery (Model #26650 3.6V 5000 mAh, sold separately) and a small screwdriver.
Step-by-Step Battery Replacement
- Remove Battery Pack: First, carefully remove the battery pack (G) from its housing on the umbrella arm.
- Loosen Screws: Locate the screws on the back of the battery pack. Use your screwdriver to loosen and remove them. Keep the screws in a safe place.
- Remove Cover: Gently separate and remove the cover from the battery pack.
- Remove Old Battery: Carefully take out the old battery. Note its orientation (which end is positive "+" and which is negative "-").
- Insert New Battery: Insert the new #26650 battery into the compartment. It is crucial to match the polarity. Ensure the positive (+) end of the new battery aligns with the positive (+) marking in the compartment, and the negative (-) end aligns with the negative (-) marking.
- Seat the Battery: Gently rotate or wiggle the battery to ensure it is properly seated in the remote pack. Double-check the polarity again.
- Replace Cover: Put the cover back onto the battery pack.
- Tighten Screws: Secure the cover by re-inserting and tightening the screws. Do not overtighten.
After Replacement
Your battery pack is now ready for charging. We recommend fully charging the new battery before its first use, either via the solar panel for 6-8 hours in direct sunlight (with the light switch off) or with the AC power supply for 3-4 hours indoors.
