Maximizing Solar LED Light Performance & Battery CareUpdated 5 hours ago
To get the best performance and longest life from your solar LED umbrella lights and battery, follow these important tips:
Charging Best Practices
- Initial Charge is Key: Before you first use the lights, you must charge the battery pack (G) via the solar panel (N1) for a full 8 hours in direct sunlight. Ensure the light switch on the battery pack is OFF during this initial charge.
- Daytime Switch Position: For daily solar charging, always ensure the light switch on the battery pack is in the OFF position during the daytime. This allows the solar panel to dedicate its power to charging the battery.
- Direct Sunlight: Position the umbrella so the solar panel receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day for optimal charging (typically 6-8 hours for a full charge via solar).
- Indoor Charging Option: If solar charging isn't sufficient (e.g., cloudy days), you can charge the battery pack (G) indoors using the provided Power Supply (G1). This usually takes 3-4 hours. Remember, the power supply is for indoor use only.
Battery Care
- Charge Regularly: Batteries can lose charge if left unused or uncharged for long periods. Regular charging helps maintain battery health.
- Indoor Charging Environment: The battery pack itself is meant to be charged indoors when using the power supply. Leaving the battery pack outside in inclement weather (especially if removed from its housing) can damage it and the power supply.
- Battery Lifespan: A fully charged battery typically provides 6-8 hours of light. Over time, battery capacity will naturally diminish.
- Avoid Extreme Temperatures: If storing the umbrella for an extended period (e.g., off-season), it's best to remove the battery pack and store it in a cool, dry place indoors to prevent damage from extreme temperatures.
Light Usage
- Turn Off When Not Needed: Turn the lights off after use to conserve battery power.
By following these tips, you can enjoy your solar LED lights for a long time!
